Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi everyone
Looking to find a late deal in march. Found a few sites that offer 7 day deals, but any suggestions for 4-5 day deals.
Not fussed where. Just somewhere cold and cheap. 2 blokes, average ability.

Cheers

Loads of relevant threads. Do a search.

Basically find a resort near Geneva e.g. Chamonix/Morzine with easily arranged transfers. Find a chalet via solutions room on chalet finder.

Companies such as:
Igoski
Ski weekends
Skiweekender
Mountainsunltd

For arranged trips.

What @hawkesbaynz, said, but fly into Innsbruck, there are plenty of great resorts within an hour or so transfer and Austria has the better snow thus far AND better apres.

Some very cheap flights into Linz with Ryanair. Fairly straightforward transfer to Salzburg and from there to a lot of resorts which are currently enjoying good conditions.

Would be very straightforward to book a 4-5 day stay direct with a hotel at that time of year. Just use a resort accomodation website or something like booking.com

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Or fly into Turin/Milan and self drive up to Aosta
Venice up to Dolomites
If you rent a car and there is a few of you the options are extensive. However note there is two.
Depends where you can fly into. In the NW you may be more limited for easy links than SE based skiers
Look at resorts tourist boards site for cheap accommodation
Enjoy and write a trip report too!

Thanks for the replies. A couple of options for me to look at.
I had wondered if there were businesses out there that specialise in short breaks. Used mountain sun before and looking for something similar.

Every time I look at www.sunweb.co.uk they seem to have some fantastic deals available.
Not used them yet though...

The thing is, if you use any sort of third party to book your trip, they're going to want their pound of flesh. It's their livelihood after all.

Short breaks are nowhere near as large a market as weeklies, so there are less economies of scale both in terms of accommodation and flights. For these reasons, unless you really need an operator to sort things out, it makes sense to diy,
