Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Presently on way to La Plagne driving, 3 weeks accommodation booked + ski pass. Snow is presently not great , but with possible snow forecast mid to end of next week. If this does not happen then plan B would be to drive to Austria and perhaps ski for 3 or 4 days in St Anton.
As I have already paid for accommodation and ski pass in La plagne my budget for accomadation is limited, does anybody know of a cheap bed & breakfast, ideally would be in St Anton, but happy to drive 30min or so from a nearby town.

Nothing much under €50 nowadays down valley. In St Anton its higher.

Go on the tourist website and do a search. The only way, apart from googlemaps, to find the B&Bs/pensions that are all over Austria.

I stayed at one around 7 years ago called Talhof Nigg (?) just off the pedestrian zone for something like €40 a night. Stuben or Pettnau will offer cheaper digs than st Anton.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
