They were prototype Bro models made by AK skis of Switzerland (But actually pressed by Blossom of Italy), this was back in '07.

That's the one, well done. Yep, it's a slow pair lift, up high on the mountain (which doesn't really gain you much vertical!) An easy way to warm up after it is to hike to the summit!

High but with snowmaking, so probably a major resort. New looking chairlift but no backrest or bubble, so probably France. South facing, with a deep, low valley in the background. A blue road and a red piste in the foreground.

@denfinella that is SO interesting how you deduced that, and how you carefully examined each element of the scene in turn. I really learnt something, thank you.
And for those of you who are interested, there is a new gondola being constructed all the way from Orelle at the very bottom of the valley, up to the ski area of Orelle where there is a mid station, then up to the top of the Cime Caron:

I was thinking the same thing -the high resort, snow making, chairlift and background are all clues.
