Yes, it's the top of Monetier; Col de Vent. The chairlift, Yret, is much more recognisable a bit further down.

OK slightly different because I don't know where this one is, discovered it amongst my mothers pictures when she died I would be interested to hear any suggestions.

Megeve, specifically the Jaillet area. Although there are 1000's of places in the alps that could match this picture.

I think it's likely to be Norway or Switzerland as those are the two places I know she visited either late 40's or very early 50's.
There is another picture of her with a Norwegian flag in the background.

If it's Switzerland I'd be thinking the Jura rather than the Alps looking at those rounded "hills".
