Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

@alasdair.graham, Well done! It is Sainte Foy! snowHead

Looking at it before it was "got" I thought it was familiar but couldn't place it, then recognizing the huts which are on the blue traverse going over towards the six pax lift. Trying to place the camera point, is it just off the second chair and turn right? Standing almost under neath the chair as you can see shadow image of it on the floor?

Seems that we've skied quite a few of the places you have as I recognize more of your pictures.

Also pushed our kids across that flat bit in the picture a few times to keep them going!

The photo was taken in 2015 and haven't been to Sainte Foy since so I have tried to work out where it was taken from the photos before and after in my folder. I think we had taken L'Arpetraz chairlift and turned left at the top on to the red, and then joined the blue Chapelle. Therefore I think this photo is on the higher part of blue 14, La Chapelle. I showed the photo to my family and none of them guessed Sainte Foy!

Anyway sorry to have detracted from the current photo guessing but I didn't want to leave the query unanswered.

Yep. Sort of back across the town, with the Beauregard, Manigod and Etale massifs behind.

I don't think the trees look Alpine. Then again, the piste density looks a bit low for N. America. The yellow building could even be Pyrenean! Interesting.

No idea. Prato Nevoso?

An interesting pole sticking up from behind the snow bank. Seems to have horizontal cables and sheave wheels. The only time I’ve seen such is for a cable-driven water ski circuit. The flat roofs and hand rails confirm it’s more of a summer resort that never gets much snow in winter. The hills don’t seem large either.

Could it be NZ?
