Poland is closer to the country in question than Slovenia... Georgia is further than both...

I'll have a stab at Petrosani - only because it was the first place we skied on snow some 30-odd years ago and it vaguely fits (probably much different now).

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

I don't know that there is a resort in Petrosani per say... but it's very close...and it's also where I first skied some 30 years ago funnily enough...

I'll try Vulcan then - where we went walking at New Year. Comming down we got stuck on the chair for over an hour in a bitter wind. Closest I've ever been to hypothermia.
Edit: Or do I mean Lupeni, next door. Vulcan is the more memorable name.
You know it makes sense.
Pretty much the same place... you get to Lupeni through Vulcan (depending which direction you approach from)... and the chair takes you from there up to Straja which is the name of the resort itself. But I'll accept your answer as correct... well done! You're up!
...and yes, the old chair lift used to do that quite regularly... got stuck on it a couple of times myself but it was usually fixed within half an hour or so...

Che fadj? Guessing you’re Romanian then. We stayed with Valentin and Sanda in Petrosani. He skis and cycles and many things outdoorsy.
We’re off out to club AGM so I won’t be around until the morning. Someone else have a go if you can’t wait.

The sign post and the lack of a safety bar on the ski lift has me thinking american, but those mountains in the background look bigger than what you typically see in the US
On closer inspection I seem to see a safety bar - woops

That rock with a hole in it is surely the Aiguille Percée above Tignes? And so the black piste pictured must be the one of the same name.
