Not Verbier. wrong direction and I think Verbier is closer to the Matterhorn than the Eiger.

@extremerob, no, the Eiger was closer but it wasn't particularly close.

@martinm, there's a lift that goes very close to the top of the Hohe Salve. You can just see the lift in this picture: the top station is hidden behind the partly-snow-covered false summit that's directly in a vertical line below the secondary peak to the right of the main one.
And Hohe Salve is farther away than the Eiger but closer than the Matterhorn.

One (and a tiny bit of another) clue, if Land borders were visible in photos you'd be able to see a dotted line going right over the top of that peak.

Westendorf is still farther away than the Eiger (surprised me that one)
Zugspitze is closer and fits the clue but not the tiny bit of extra clue
Sulden is closer still
St Anton is getting quite close and, if you are thinking of where I'm thinking you're thinking, it fits the "clue and a bit" perfectly but there would be cable cars and there are none in this resort.

You can reach the cable cars I had in mind from Stuben as well as St Anton. And St Christoph too. To avoid too many Arlberg guesses, it's not in the Klostertal or the Stanzertal.

Großer Krottenkopf is, I think, devoid of lifts and it's further away than St Anton.

in that case im gonna guess Wirl...

Bingo! I'd have accepted Galtür too. It's the Ballunspitze, taken from the Birkhahnbahn quad chair out of Wirl, and it gives you a great view all the way up. The chair you can just about see is the Ballunspitze 6-person.
I thought I'd do a retro one because I got @Tungstone's original post immediately but several years too late: it's just above my least favourite bit of my favourite red in Galtür/Wirl.
Galtür is Mrs. H's favourite ski resort (I don't get to choose anywhere else).
One good reason to go, if you have a tribe like we do, is the Silvapark family lift pass: the family ski pass works out as all of the children after the first go free (roughly) and children equates to under 19! If you have a few, they may ask to see passports This does not work if you want to ski at Ischgl as well as Wirl though.
@Valci, over to you.

right... i took this in Feb 2019. Should be fairly easy if you've been there but i will say that there are no lifts as high as i was taking the picture from... i hoofed it for a bit in the search for untouched snow.

Bingo... took the picture while booting it from the drop off stadion closest to Hainbachjoch (aprox 2700m) towards Roskirpl peak (2900m-ish altitude). Found a nice little area right between two moutainsides that grabbed me a good line... you're up extremerob
