@panaga52, I don't think there are trees on the bit of Carrots I was thinking of (coming down towards Vernants and Corbalanche lifts), but it's not that anyway, so I will have another crack and say Avoriaz (just because...)

I tried to crop out most of the Eiger so it wasn't too obvious. But if I get another go I'll dig out more of my snowless summer pics to make things more challenging.

Afraid not, and not in Switzerland by the way 
**edit** might be worth pointing out that isn't dam, there is one nearby, but you wouldn't be able to see it from that view,,,
