Alagna used to be my back garden resort and is still one of my favourite Touring venues but no its not @Julian T. I've never been to Crans Montana @frejul so not there either I'm afraid.
Clue 1: This area is close to one of the oldest wine producing regions in the world.

No Clues next time then. Well done @Cheapski. I recommend it for anyone who doesn't mind freeing the heel for some awesome off-piste. Oh and the beer is only €1 a bottle at the end of the day.

I do not know much about the ski resort but talking about wine ... different story.
Just yesterday as we were having dinner at friend's house we talked about some fine Georgian wines.
However, this one should be quite easy.

That is at the top of Chair 9, at 3870m it is the second highest chair in Nort America.
Very basic ski facilities with rather "minimalistic" chairs but great snow and being in NA most of the terrain is considered "off piste". High wind prone though, being on the top of Continental Divide.
