Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

There really won't be a better option I can think of for a lone 20 year old than ucpa.

We were there last season, met a number of other friendly English, Swedish, few French and others. You will absolutely find plenty of English speakers and instructors all speak enough English to teach comfortably.

It is simple, most bedrooms are four sharing single sex rooms, probably English speakers, basic but comfortable.

We found food to be simple stuff but everyone including some seriously picky eaters in our group found plenty to eat.

Oh and it is dirt cheap, we're not exactly worried about paying a bit more for a trip but doing ucpa in March because it is such good value I can do 3-4 weeks this season instead of 2.

Note they positively encourage making sandwiches at breakfast in most ucpa centres, so another saving in areas where lunch can increase trip cost significantly.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

We did UCPA before the kids were born. If you just want to ski you probably won't get better value. They do go out of their way to make sure you can ski at the lowest cost they can manage. You will probably find more English speakers than French speakers. Val T is a brilliant resort. No messing about with a ski bus, a few pints won't break the bank. Handy supermarkets. You could ski for a month and not see the same run twice.

Top tip - There is a bar called La Folie Douce on the slopes. It is like an all day nightclub. Don't have 3 gallons of cocktails and try to ski back down in the dark.

Other than that, If I was 20 again I would go UCPA to Val Thorens.
