Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

The fog will cause many more issues than the strikes. If Heathrow and Gatwick are reduced to this extent for more than a couple of days then hundreds of thousands of people's plans are affected. Hope it clears quickly

I'm in T5 lounge just now. Flight delayed 3 hours but at least it is not one of the cancelled flights 40-50% cancelled on the board earlier but most now flying.

Easyjet appear to use Menzies at Edinburgh rather than Swissport. But if that's the case then i can't understand why Easyjet don't just tell their customers that they don't use Swissport.

I would wish you all the delays and cancellations in the world, plus a distinct lack of the white stuff when you finally get to the Alps after the nightmare journey, but I'm not like that

Firstly, didn't they know what they were going to be paid before they took the job and secondly, if they now don't like their pay, go and work somewhere else. Sack them. When I flew to the Isle of Man on the UK's smallest passenger plane I was put in charge of the emergency door and given a 30 second training session on it. Didn't need cabin crew at all!

They've now confirmed that Edinburgh shouldn't be impacted.

So a jet with 200 passengers on board doesn't need cabin crew either then ?

 You know it makes sense.

Could probably cut down on the number of pilots too for short-haul flights😄

Needs someone to dish out the Pringles and Prosecco Smile

There are queues of people wanting to be cabin crew, so I guess the laws of supply and demand enter the salary equation.

BTW 2planks, not sure if your dad mentioned it, but I bought the company snowHead

@martinm, good stuff, good luck with that !

@susieski, swissport has a small history of threatening strikes and then stepping down at the last minute. Worst case scenario in my opinion is, you will depart with no bags and they will turn up a few days later in resort, or you fly out Christmas Day. I wouldn't panic yet though and remember it's not Jet2/Crystal's fault.

I know it's not the fault of the airline.

@susieski, a decision isn't due to made until Tuesday as to whether the strike is actually going ahead or not, so its not surprising that you haven't heard anything from Crystal yet.
