Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

A heads up - Boot Doc Foam Liners

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Sports Direct website knocking out Boot Doc Quickfoam liners for 49 quid! I think they normally retail for £160+ so maybe worth a punt if you are into DIYing your own fitting. What could possibly go wrong?

@Pruman, I think that they have been raised before. The consensus was no, run away.

If you have ever had foam boots done properly, you will know it is a 2 person operation, excluding the person wearing the boots. It also generates quiet a lot of pressure and heat.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

good luck, that liner is from at least 4-5 years ago, if the people foaming it have 1/2 a clue then they might be lucky that it works, but foam kits do not last very long

this is first gen Quick foam, the failure rate from what i remember was about 50% even when the foam kits were in date Smile

I'm very happy with my Intuitions.

@CEM, sounds like they found them in a dark corner of the warehouse then. Like I say, what could possibly go wrong?

@PowderAdict, several times but only ever a one person op.

In the past had these liners made in a shop, twice. Usual foam faffing process and can't see how you could diy them properly. Neither pair were really much good, certainly failed and became very uncomfortable very quickly. Not great support all over foot and lower leg/ankle/heel anyway, nothing on tongue. If you want foams, get a fitter to do a decent set properly. Or get zipfits or... (etc, etc)
(IMHO...)
