I'm not 100% sure for this up coming weekend. I will definitely PM you if I plan on being up there. Forecasts has some indication of potential. It was definitely a very nice surprise and to have gotten quite a few lines of fresh powder. Chair 6 was almost ski up or just a few minute wait for the first 2 hours. Then somebody must have put out the word that Southback was getting ready to open, and the powder hounds converged. Still it was not that bad on the hike back. Heck even skiing in the chutes that had been avy controlled was really light and deep.

Yes, I think so too. IMO one of the better run resorts in the PNW, if not North America.

Some was windblown but mostly skied very well as long as you timed it right.
Assume teh storm in CO is same one that dumped her early in week.

The snows all gone hows the smoke/fires ??
We looked at the web cams and you can see the smoke in the atmosphere. We are going through the mountains in a few days and the air quality is awful. In Kamloops air quality was 10 on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being awful stay indoors with the windows closed. When i checked the other day it was classed as 13 out of 10!!
Looked at some NASA picture and all the valleys were full of smoke. Its got a few days to improve. I am hoping for some rain.

But it was an amazing last day if that turns out to be the case.
And they should get the Southback open by 11AM or so, and you can work on your fitness by doing a hike up Silver King.
