Poster: A snowHead
|
Guys – although I’ve skied for 25 years I do not know a lot about ski’s – I had a pair on Sin 7’s which I thought were OK till they got pinched a couple of years ago
I’m looking for an all mountain ski – I’m 6’1, 85kg, enjoy off piste when conditions are good, I enjoy tree skiing and powder when I can find it. On a perfect trip I would ski 60% off 40% on piste
I’m not an aggressive skier and as I’m now a 50 something I am not a power house – a reasonably light ski which does not need aggressive skiing and easy to turn would be ideal
I do not need the latest graphics (in fact I would prefer not lol) and I ski 3 - 4 weeks a year
Any thoughts??? thanks in advance John

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Atomic Vantage 90 CTI will fit the bill nicely I should think. I am of similar age and stature to yourself, and they suit me very well.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Johnor, Blizzard Brahma or Latigo depending upon whether your 60/40 rule is reversed or in fact a truism.

If you liked the Rossi Sin 7 you should look at the http://abetterski.com/ski-reviews/rossignol-sky-7-hd-ski-review/ Rossi Sky HD which is supposedly better and replaces it with what looks like the same shape but a different construction.
I 'd look at the DPS 99 wailer as well as it is a very easy going ski, light, easy to turn and can carve.

Cham 87
any year or variation - 1.0/2.0
Easy on legs & knees (go all day and all week(s)), smooth turn initiation, good float, light.
Also Cheap !!
Could go for the 97 which I've not played on in the mountains, but in the snozone, and couldn't notice too much difference (might be a little stiffer so possibly more work on the legs & knees) but more float for your offpiste/onpiste nature ???
