Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Salomon QST 118 to buy or not?

 Poster: A snowHead

Right does anyone own Salmon QST 118s or has skied these? Any strong opinions? Know where I can see them in store (london)?

I have read blistergear reviews but can't seem to find much real unbias reviews online.

Looking for a 110-120mm underfoot ski to take to Japan but also use for the big days in Europe and North America. Will mount them with Guardian bindings or Baron/Duke for some very light touring.

Other options that I am looking at are Atomic Bent Chetler/Armada JJ 2.0/Volkl One open to other suggestions. I don't do switch and prefer the ski to have a more classic direction which is why I am tempted by the QST.

I have Mantras (98mm) which are my all mountain ski so the new purchase is really to be used on the deep snow days not looking for a 1 quiver ski.

Thoughts?

Thanks

They should be good, essentially the new version of the Rocker2 which was a great ski in powder!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Or if you can lay your hands on a pair of Atomic Automatic 117, they're fantastic, I ski them Very Happy

Nowhere in the UK is stocking them, However they are a pretty epic ski, if you can get some of the old Rocker's or the Ben chetler you wont go far wrong either.

Some stores still have them as new I think Snowtraxx in Dorset might!
