Snow Reports

Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Want to get my son some boots and looks like either
Snow and Rock
or
Ellis Brigham
in Bristol is the best option. Solutions for feet or outdoor traders are closer but need to make a specific appointment rules them out. Shame really still really with outdoor traders boots from 4 years ago but I have problem feet which my so doesnt
Anyone here used either of these stores in Bristol. One thing comes to mind though if you can get fitting tweaks at same store in a different location.
Obviously

Welcome to snowHeads
@hooper
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I've had mixed experience with
Snow + Rock
(the Port Solent one, though) My boots are great and I've had them for 4 seasons, but when my wife needed new boots they told her they should to be tight, despite her saying she thought they were too tight. In fairness to
S+R
she was the one wearing them so maybe she should have made more of a point of how tight they were, but because they advised her that tight would be better she went with it and lost a toenail on our first trip with them. She persevered for two trips then had to change them (although again, in fairness to
S+R
she had had two foot operations by then as well!)
I'd make an appointment and go with the "Devil you know" if I was you @Posidrive
