Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski Republic Tignes val Claret

Hi, has anyone used the Borsat shop in Val Claret as we are staying nearby in December? The only other shop near to our residence is quite a bit more expensive. I know SR can be a bit budget sometimes with limited range of skis but I don't think it will make much of a difference with my skiing and perhaps their skis will still be in good condition at the start of the season?
Cheers.

I have used the "Rond Point des Piste" one.

I found the prices were cheap (especially if you used the discount code), the staff very friendly and helpful....but in our case, the kit was a bit old and battered. They had none of the skis that were advertised on the website.

A friend of mine has regularly used the Borsat one and has had no complaints....but he never books in advance.

I'm coming to the conclusion that you are better not booking in advance, because that ties you in. If you go in without pre-booking, you always have the threat of going somewhere else. Know your price, haggle hard and you should be able to get the internet price. If you don't like the condition of what you're given, walk out.
