Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Les Coches Easter 2017

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We are going to La Plagne again next year for Easter. This year we stayed in Belle Plagne and really enjoyed the location, easy access to the ski slopes and guaranteed snow because of the height (2000m).

We have seen better accommodation for the same price in Les Coches and would like to know as it is a lower resort is the access to the snow still easy?

Yes, lift up from the centre. A couple more and you're in La Plagne - or Les Arcs.

louiscrow, martinm is quite right about access, but Easter is late 2017 (April 16) so Les Coches is a bit of a gamble.
Belle Plagne at 2100m is likely still ski-in-ski-out, but Les Coces at 1450m may not. Or skiing back could be tricky.
On the other hand you will have quick access to Vanoise lift and Les Arcs sector.
As long you dont mind Spring conditions (morning ice, afternoon slush, patches of mud and grass) then go with your better accommodation.

Easter is very late this year and at 1450m Les Coches is on the low side, but the pistuers will make a lot of effort to keep access open for the resort. Just accept that you may need to get the lift down in the afternoon rather than ski.

Personally I would go for Belle Plagne
