Hi - I'm looking for a group to join or a ski buddy for a week in 2017. I prefer Austria but am happy to go anywhere. I'm an intermediate skier based in Herts - 39 yrs. Also prefer to avoid school holidays. thanks!

Hi, you really need to go on a Snowheads bash, there are a few available at various resorts, you will find like minded skiers having a great time. Just log in & have a look.

Thanks - just finding my feet on this site! I'm interested in the S13BB bash but want to find out whether I can get a single room - or does everyone have to share? Also, how do people arrange who to ski with? Is there any organisation? Sorry for the questions - shd I email admin?

Single room. - Yes, there is a supplement
Skiing Groups. - no formal organisation, it all happens organically. You'll meet Snowheads as you travel, at meals and in the bar and fix up skiing partners. It just seems to happen.

@Anna77, have a look at the 'How Was It For You' thread in the Events section for some reviews on Bashes. There are a few things organised (for example a fancy meal on the EoSB etc. ) but mostly you just turn up, talk to people and find some lovely people to ski with  On the EoSB I was stood outside looking a bit lost one day and someone was quick to ask if I wanted to ski with them.

@Anna77, There's usually an option to have a single room on this bash, although it will involve paying a supplement. If you click on 'I'm interested' you should get a little more information and can declare your degree of interest.
People meet outside the Portavescovo about 09:00-09:15 each morning, some having pre-arranged groups to ski with over breakfast/dinner the night before and others looking for a group to join. I've been on this bash when travelling solo and I've always found someone to ski with.

What happens is, you get there and you will immediately find a group of people to ski with on different days at breakfast o outside or arrange in the bar the night before.
How to get there is simple. Ask here and we will advise on flights and the transfer is with the rest of the group.
Since you are intermediate, the BB is perfect. A great number of different runs and perfectly groomed pistes.
