Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hi everyone,

Looking for cheap transfer returns between Salzburg airport and Altenmarkt im Pongau for January. There are 5 of us and the best i can find is 250 Euros with Austria Transfers in a minibus. Just wondered if anybody as any other ideas that i might try.

Cheers

Taxi Maxi based in Schladming are €140 each way to there so presuming your price is return then I would say that is about par for the course.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

All adults? If yes then book your taxi.

If you have kids you could make it cheaper by getting the train to Altenmarkt via Bischofshofen. Number 2 bus every 10 mins or so from the airport to the railway station.

@soulo, sounds about right for a return, €52 return Salzburg to Flachau in a shared minibus

@soulo, use this page to contact the transfer companies that are within the Salzburger Sportwelt.:
http://www.salzburg-airport.com/en/passengers-visitors/arrival-parking/bus-train-taxi/taxi-transfer-service/

But you have been quoted the normal price for a return trip for a shared transfer service.
You can sometimes find a company that will offer a slightly cheaper price (€120 ish one way for a private mini-bus).
