Poster: A snowHead

So, I'm moving out to Morzine on the 27th of this month ... never skied there/been there .... will be there for 6 months - if anyone is willing to show me around, give me some tips or just have a few drinks - give me a shout
Me, 25 - skier but I want to try boarding at some point - usually an accountant in London but quit my job to travel a bit and now I'm heading for Morzine to work.

Hey Megan, you won't struggle to make friends in Morzine, its a great little town. As moseyp suggests, get on the Morzine crew talk to me facebook page but also just get out there and have fun and I'm sure you will have an amazing winter.
I'm sure you will make some buddies with the guys you are gonna be working with for starters. Hit me up in December at some point if you need a ski/snowboard buddy. I'm back out there around the 10th December for the season.

Hi Megan - you'll easily make friends - if you fancy a ski just PM me as we live there all year round. I also fled a London accountancy firm but just moved to Geneva instead

Have a Morzine insider question and thought this might be an appropriate forum.
Is there just the Carrefour and the little Spar left as supermarket options?
|
|
|
|
|
|
Actually IN Morzine, yes.
There's a much bigger Carrefour just out of town, between Morzine and St Jean d'Aulps. Believe it has a bus stop if you're sans-car.

Hi all, would anybody here know of anywhere in Morzine that rents Sunday-Sunday? (Jan 15th-22nd) Have a group of 6 people we booked flights into Geneva at a good price but have no found it hard to get any accommodation as nearly all seem to do Saturday changeovers. We would be looking for self catering with a central location in Morzine. Thanks in advance

@Mjit, Did ED (opposite The Sherpa) close then? It was there last time I looked. And there's Alpigros if you have access to a cash'n'carry card (friendly chalet girl etc. required).

I've previously booked with http://www.starskichalets.com/ they always seemed to prefer Sun - Sun.
I emailed them earlier this year to try and book but they haven't responded so not sure if they are still trading, Although I note that the website is still up and running.

@ardbroilach, The supermarket along from The Sherpa is now called Casino. There's also a new "organic" supermarket in Morzine this year, La Vie Claire.

@Bertie Wooster, they do give a phone number on the website, wouldn't that be the best way to try to make contact?
