Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Short break 2-6th or 4th-8th Feb Morzine or Chatel

Hi,

Looking to arrange a short break for approx 10 of us to either Morzine or Chatel over the weekend of 4/5th Feb (arriving 2nd - 4th) for 4 nights. Anyone got any suggestions as where to find accommodation? Can either be a hotel or chalet (self catered or catered) but needs to be walking distance for evenings out. Kids will be left at home so plan to make the most of it!!

Post it on chalets direct solutions room- lots of small operators on there who could offer you something. Also check out Mountain Mavericks- they have two small hotels that do short breaks.

@Fast_ted, just be aware that the French school holidays start on the 4th http://www.education.gouv.fr/cid87910/calendrier-scolaire-pour-les-annees-2015-2016-2016-2017-2017-2018.html so that makes it really that much harder to find non-Sat-Sat accommodation.

And it'll be all that much busier...

Yeah did know that but only date that works for everyone due to work commitments unless we go at the very end of March but already booked flights for a family Easter trip!!
