Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Life of a back protector and washing them

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Had this back protector that has been worn for around 300-400 days over the last few years and was wondering what the normal life expectancy for them is? Any experience? Have read about helmets needing to be replaced after a set number of years, regardless of actual days usage and wondered if there was anything similar.

Also, any tips on washing them? To those that have worn them, you will know how warm and sweaty they can get. Unfortunately, as far as I'm aware, my current one has no way to wash it as the actual padding bit (that gives the protection) can't be removed from the bit you wear if that makes sense (this may be nonsense though - I'm thinking this as there was no care instructions included, haven't been able to find anything online and many other back protectors have a removable bit so it can be washed, like in this Salomon one) - it's long overdue a wash though!! Shocked Have got in touch with Dainese but not heard anything from them.

Any help appreciated Smile

Febreeze or buy a new one. You've probably crushed some of the honeycomb if you've had 4 seasons out of it.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Bit late but thanks - have replaced it with the Salomon one. Was possibly past the febreeze stage unfortunately! Embarassed
