Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Courmayeur Ski Hire Shop

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
PBJ junior(senior) is now working .... yippee ..... his office ski trip is a long weekend to Courmayeur ..... skiing 3 days 3-5 February.
He has been allocated responsibility for organising ski hire for up to 20 people.
Does anyone have good ideas for a well stocked and reasonably priced ski rental shop that will do a good deal ?

No idea on what sort of deal they'll do, but we always used the one at the bottom of the Val Veny cable car. Been a while, so no idea on what it's called.
The Val Veny cable car is a little out of town, but because of that can be quieter than the town centre one (unless the snow's poor in France). It has a decent sized car park and is serviced by the town bus.
It also tends to be quieter at the top as well, and you can ski from the top (asuming the snow into Val Veny is okay), instead of having to go up another lift.
There is a nursery slope, bar and *possibly* another shop at the top, too.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I hired from here when I was there in January

Looked like they were pretty well stocked as well and can leave kit there each night which is pretty much the norm for hire spots at Checrouit. There's another one called Alpineve in the lift building at the top of the cable car from town too.

Looking at the map, the one at the bottom of Val Veny seems to have gone. There is one at the top though - Pre du Pascale is the area.

Here's a list of rental places (scroll down):

@PBJ, We also used Noleggio Sci Lo Chalet this year, booked through ski set and paid €97 for performance set of skis. The storage area is fairly small but works OK ( we were there at half term so it was a busy time for them). It saves having to carry the kit up and down in the main gondola, as its an office trip they will be able to make use of leaving the skis and boots there and going for a quiet drink, or go to the American Bar on Via Roma with its free nibbles 😀
We're going again next year and will use them again, it works for us, simples Very Happy
