Recommendations please for a transfer operator from GVA to Tignes. Normally drive but flying out for a few days pre Xmas, hence need for a transfer.
Many thanks
Simon

I used Simply Transfers GVA to Val D'Isere last year (stopped at Tignes) and was very impressed - at one stage they really went out of their way to do the right thing by me.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

http://www.3vt.co.uk/ - I used them last year and would happily use again. Edit: As Andy ponts out further on, that might be interesting but it's not at all relevant here!

Hi I have used www.snow-vans.com to the Grand Massif very competative. They also have a list of other resorts on their web page but dont know what their prices are like for the longer journeys. They offer mini buses but also estate cars which work out cheaper for small groups. I have also used www.ski-lifts.com in the past when we went to Meribel. I did not do the booking so not sure what the prices were like ( my friend would have got a good price) they had a desk in the airport so it was no problem running around trying to find a rep / driver and was a very good service.

@motyl, 3VT don't go to Tignes, the clue is in the name.

My recommendations on the first page of the Tignes thread stand - Snowstartransfers or Mountainrides. I know both operators so they exist and have been around for some years.
snowHeads are a friendly bunch.

@opotopo, If you want to get the very best price, then use this guys: www.findtransfers.com. You log your request with them, and they send it out to hundreds of different transfer folks, who then send their quote to the website where you can view them.
I have used then 5 times now for different resorts, and always been very happy. You can read reviews of the relevant transfer companies on their site (which they don't seem to censor); and you should check again by looking for any reviews online elsewhere.
If you do have a favourite company, then you can use lower quotes to haggle them down a bit! Here's an instructional video on how to haggle properly:
