Could anyone recommend some fairly decent goggles within the price range of £40-£70 please..
I have no idea where to start looking, and what to look for (I guess)..
Most important factor would be visibility...

I got some Summit Magnetic goggles. I think the visibility is great and they came with a low light lens which I love. Weren't too pricey either!

best try them on for fit, with both your helmet and your face.
also try to get some photochromic lenses that will give you a good range of light conditions from the one lens

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I got the Evolve model, which appears to be on sale now. I think they're £60 delivered with two lenses at the moment. I've never had top goggles to properly compare, but they have good reviews and I am sucker for changing lenses - I even carry sunglasses with extra lenses.

Do you have a Decathlon near you? Good selection of reasonably priced goggles that you can try on over your helmet to see which fit best.

See if you can find Oakley A Frame 2.0 with Prizm Rose around your budget.

My nearest is Team Valley, and to be truthful, their selection of ski-gear has been extremely basic.. they only really stock their own brands.

Check out Sports Pursuit website, they have Flash sales every now and again with good discounts on goggles.
I bought a pair of Alphina Turbo GT goggles a couple of years back which have been top notch it all weather conditions.

You know it makes sense.

Smith Squad goggles are worth consideration at the upper end of your price range, the newer models come with their latest "Chromapop" lens technology and also a second yellow lens for whiteout / low light conditions. For example...

Having recently bought the Smith Vice which is similar to the Squad but with a spherical rather than cylindrical lens, the only suggestion I'd make is buy a variant with a black or dark coloured frame as the nose bridge of the red frame I had caused a fair amount of reflection on the inside of the lens so I've sent them back and decided at the same time to upgrade to the I/OX as I've got quite a large bonce and the Vice looked a bit small on me with a helmet on.
