Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

transfers from Salzberg to Obergurgl

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hello

just pricing up a DIY trip to Obergurgl for 4 adults and 2 children. Best flight option is to Salzberg with Jet 2.

Anyone able to advise on what is a reasonable cost for a transfer or suggest a company?

Looked at austriatransfers.at and a private transfer is coming in at £126 return per person for the 6 of us- is this reasonable or should I be able to find something cheaper?

Thanks

MCL

That's quite a long way! Especially as much of the motorway is restricted to 100km/h on that route. Can you not just fly to Innsbruck?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I've taken the public bus from airport to the train station, train to Otztal and then the bus public us up the valley to Obergurgl quite a few times.

Always funny, the English making a Saltmountain out of Saltborough

Or even funnier, Innsbrook out of Innsbruck (bridging the brook Toofy Grin )

With Innsbrook Airport indeed being the much better option for Obergurgl!!

@Langerzug, I've never understood how we turned Wien into Vienna. It's not even more efficient!

@clarky999,
The best is the English village of Beaulieu. Something like "bjoolee"
Ah well, say la vie!

Hire a car. We flew to Munich then rented a car, drove to obergurgl and one week later drove it back. Didn't use it at all in between but it was by far the cheapest option.

@MCL, we did the same thing as bompey last November but went to Solden for 3 days. It was 3 ish hours from Munich but was an easy drive. Innsbruck is much closer if you can get the flights though.
