Poster: A snowHead

I`m not sure if this is the correct forum?
I am vaguely toying with the idea of buying my son a snowboard lesson for his 25th birthday. He has been skiing since he was tiny but has only played with a board for a couple of days as a young teenager. He recently mentioned he might like to give it another go and I believe there are a couple of snow domes not too far from Leeds where he is currently based?
I have some other ideas for his birthday too (eg sword making or sushi making lol) but they have to fit round his work schedule which is proving a bit tricky.
Any info or recommendations on boarding/instruction centres in the area much appreciated. Thank you

Have a look at Onyx Snowboarding, they run out of Castleford. £165 for a 1 to 1 lesson.

I have never been to Castleford but do use Chill Factore, at Trafford Park just accross the M62 from Leeds. (Depends which side he lives.)
I believe that it is a slightly longer main slope, although for a complete beginner than won't be an issue as you'll only be on the 'baby slope'.
I did a 'learn to board in a day' course there (8 hours) which I found really good. It will take several hours on a board, and IMHO a long lesson might be better than just an hour or two, even if private (but others may say different).
I don't know the relative cost of courses at either snowdome; CF certainly have some offers on at the moment, I think 50% off a day's beginner course (usually £165 in the week I recall) until mid November (?). That would include equipment hire and lunch.
