Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Does anyone know if you can buy these in the same way as you can buy reading glasses without a prescription?

Do you intend on doing a lot of reading in bad weather?
I'm a wearer of glasses. I possess a few solutions. I use contact lenses initially, then OTG goggles if my contacts fail me or become too uncomfortable.
A quick google chucked this page at me immediately. http://www.rxsport.co.uk/categories/Browse-by-Sport/Ski/Ski-Sunglasses/

If you're looking for an off the shelf product, i think you'll struggle, but in the winter sports industry, specifically requested/made lenses are pretty normal!

Thanks, I use off the shelf glasses for close and distance use and i just wondered if it was possible to get similar goggles. I already have sunglasses with reading lenses.

What about just wearing OTG goggles over the reading glasses?

I'll have a go at that, I just thought that it would be easier to just have the goggles but it doesn't seem that these are possible. Thanks for your help.

The link I sent had varifocal goggles!

Varifocals are possible in virtually all of our sunglasses for skiing. You can leave your reading glasses at the chalet if you just need to check the piste map or locate Wiener Schnitzel on the menu. As ever, we would only recommend varifocals for people who wear progressive lenses day to day, your one week in the snow is probably not the best time to learn how to use a varifocal! No more excuses for plummeting down a black run when you meant to meander down a blue. There are no more excuses for plummeting down a black run when you meant to meander down a blue.
