Alps expecting overnight lows of -20 to -32

Hi,

I have been reading on a few weather websites that the Alps are now forecast some very low temperatures of -20 (France) to -32 (Italy). The air is being dragged down from Russia and should arrive by the end of the week. Lets just hope that there is some moisture mixed in and if not at least the break down should bring snow and maybe by the bucket load. I have only ever experienced temps as low as -10, I couldn't quite imagine what -20 or -30 is like.

I watch with interest....

blondends, Last winter we had 7 weeks in Jan/Feb when the 09.00 temp in the village was -20 every day. (The glacier was around -35 + wind chill). -10 isn't very cold, especially at night. If the temp on my balcony isn't below -5 every morning I get quite concerned! Shock
