@foxtrotzulu, don't know what 'biting like buggery' would be like, but yes, they do have a good set of teeth... As do the beavers that have now returned to our local river. They actually did bite and quite seriously injure two people last summer. I suspect cos they got too close to their young.

@Steilhang, that's gonna hurt. Ouch. Got this image of Bavarian beavers either gnawing at the surfers on the Eisbach or the nude bathers on the Englischer Garten.

@dobby, not the Eisbach... doesn't bear thinking about. In the Würm though we now have a number of beaver families, each doing it's bit to saw down the trees and any bathers & dogs that get too close!
