Hi experts.

I'm not really a ski geek or expert and have been trundling around on salomon x wings for years. I was given a pair of head magnum 3s yesterday and unfortunately won't be able to use them until next season as they were given to me as I left Val Thorens and they are tucked away in the apartment.

Are these a whole heap better than my x wings? Will I notice a lot of difference? They've had a seasons ski hire use but the bases look nearly perfect. Do skis deteriate a lot with a full seasons ski hire?

@emwmarine, they probably weren't used every single day so could easily have half their life left or more.

I think you actually mean I.SuperShape Magnum as the model. It's almost certainly a better ski that the Xwing.

Will you notice a difference? Maybe.

Will this be good or bad? Who knows. Only one way to find out ...
