Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

La Tania - Ski School Reccomendations

 Poster: A snowHead

Hi All

I did try to search for my answer but couldn't see anything. So here goes:

We have just booked our 2017 ski holiday to La Tania w/c 02 Jan. (hey, we are organised!)

We are group of 10 skiers, of which, 6 are new to skiing. The 6 that are new obviously require lessons. What are your recommendations on how to do this as cost effective as possible? Do they book a private instructor for a number of hours to use over the course of the week? Or do they go into a public ski school? They are mixed ages from 14-50.

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks in advance.

Hi @Jonny70,

Group lessons are usually fine for adult beginners, but if there are six of them, it's probably cost-effective to hire an instructor for private lessons shared between them. That gives you the option of just about any of the ski schools, even those not based in La Tania.

What do the other four want to do?

I'm a bit out of touch with LT but I'm sure others will have more specific recommendations.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks for that, I will look into the private instructor.

The other four (including me) can all ski, so we will be off doing the harder slopes whilst the others are in lessons. Then we will meet up and do the easier stuff as a group when the others are not in lessons (in theory).

I can recommend New Generation
Or for an excellent private instructor - Thea - shes based in Courchevel - I think her web is ski-thea.com (or very similar - sorry)?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks, the website was right.
I've emailed Thea for more info. Out of interest, what costs should we be looking at per person for say 3 hours per day for 6 days?
