Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

@Basil, No worries, I found it pretty interesting too. There are some other threads on there with pictures of the various lift improvements, so I've been looking at it quite a bit recently.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@skier52, Improving Portet may also take some traffic off of the bottom pitch at Marmottes.

Having been there during a quiet spell (aside from the weekends) I have a feeling that the Marmottes run down to Molliets will now be a bottleneck chaos. The new Tetes de Saix Express certainly gets you up the hill quickly but the whole traffic is now funnelled all the way down to Carroz 1500 whereas previously some would have gone up L'airon chair, some up Corbalanche and the remainder would have gone right down Marmottes to Les Moillets chair.

It's maybe a bit harsh to be critical of an area for investing in infrastructure but in this case I'm not completely convinced...I will be interested to hear what others find in peak weeks.

Having been there recently during a quiet spell (aside from the weekends) I have a feeling that the Marmottes run down to Molliets will now be bottleneck chaos. There were clear signs that the afternoon in particular is going to see some really busy piste traffic and some badly chopped up surfaces.

The new Tetes de Saix Express certainly gets you up the hill quickly but as it stands the whole traffic is now funnelled all the way down to Carroz 1500 whereas previously some would have stopped and gone up at L'airon chair, some up Corbalanche leaving the remainder of Morillon/Carroz traffic to go right down Marmottes to Les Moillets chair.

It's maybe a bit harsh to be critical of an area for investing in infrastructure but in this case I'm not completely convinced...I will be interested to hear what others find in peak weeks.
