Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Atomic Vantage 90 CTI - anyone tried them?

I've spent the last 10 years or so skiing on 'soft' GS skis - Volkl P40, Atomic Race LT etc. I'm seeing more and more folk skiing All Mountain skis as their daily driver these days, even here in conservative Wengen. I can get a good deal on the Atomic Vantage 90s. Anyone tried them or have any opinions? I like the sound of the versatility in soft snow and crud, but I still want on-piste performance, particularly on hardpack.

Bought a pair and installed Rossi FKS 140 B95 binding after trying at demo day in Tremblant. I like the Rossi binding better than the Atomic bindings. Ski handles great all mountain whether groomers or glades. Holds an edge on ice and glides well over hardpack and powder conditions. Handles well at high speed, no chatter, and surprisingly good at lower recreational speeds. Edge hold is excellent for Eastern Canada conditions. Ski will pop you out of turns and is highly responsive. Because of the 15%/10% tip-tail rocker they respond like a shorter ski so you want them forehead or longer. This time of year you should be getting at least 25% off. Ski will also take Marker Griffon bindings 90 mm. Can't go wrong with these skis. You will certainly get the performance you are looking for on-piste and pack.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

I should mention that I got the best deal online, way better than what the Tremblant Atomic store, with dreadful service and all, was selling them for. Good luck! Hope you get a chance to demo them.
