Poster: A snowHead
|
A paramedic colleague and I are attempting to clock up the vertical descent of Mont Blanc in a day at Glenshee on Thursday. We're splitting all funds raised between Pancreatic Cancer Action (in memory of my best friend and soul mate) and the Scottish Charity Air Ambulance which is based in Perth and therefore well placed to respond to injured parties at any of the ski centres.
Should anyone have a soft spot for either charity, or would just like to give us a bit of encouragement, you can donate here:

And if you can all do a weather dance for a clear day with minimal wind so that we can get some rest on the Cairnwell chair that would be awesome!!
Thank you xx
Please move if in the wrong place, Admin!

If we get stuck on pomas and t-bars I may cry 😂😂

Most kind of you, thanks so much. I managed it without realising on a very unfit day in VT at the EoSB last year....but Scotland is a different kettle of fish 😁

Well done on completing your challenge, saw your kitted out motor next to the Cairnwell chair today, looked out for you both but missed you as I was mostly skiing the Glas Maol / Coire Fion side of things.

Thanks protosaurus, sorry we missed you!
What a cracking day, with lots of support from the Glenshee crowd. Weather-wise one of my best Scottish ski days topped off by seeing my first ever ptarmigan (in the process of changing plumage too) and black grouse.
I see there has been a donation from another SH too in the last 5 mins, thank you so much Claire S!!
Already planning next season's effort....

No problem - have only just seen this thread and it seemed a very worthy cause. Glad to hear the day went well

Yeah it was a great day today, snow conditions were superb, I have seen those Ptarmigan and Grouse a lot this season, especially near the Tiger.
