Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Vagabond chamonix?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi!

Has anyone stayed in Vagabond Chamonix previously, or heard any feedback?

I'm thinking of possibly staying here if I go skiing alone during Easter so I can meet lots of people!

Only problem is I hear chamonix is terrible for beginners Sad

I've never stayed there, but I've been to Chamonix 4 times, and I'm going again in April, it's a fantastic place for anyone, beginner or otherwise. There are plenty of beginners runs, and the town itself is great for apres ski - check out Monkey Bar in Chamonix Sud. Not far from Vagabond.
You have to catch a bus from the town to the slopes, but it's worth it. You'll have a great time.

 Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@mojitogirl, the Vag is cheap and cheerful and you'll certainly have lots of opportunity to meet folks (around 5 o'clock mostly english speaking builder types wink ). You can walk to the Brevent bubble (or the Savoy baby slope if it's still open). 5-10 minutes walk with skis.

The Aiguille du Midi doesn't go up Mont Blanc (it goes up the Aiguille du Midi, amazingly enough) but it's as close as you can get to MB without climbing.

I'm currently torn between Val D and Chamonix! Only problem is because I'm still new to skiing and chamonix is huge... I'm worried I'll get lost!

Will definitely give you a shout if I go to Vagabond/Cham!

@mojitogirl, @mojitogirl, @mojitogirl, @mojitogirl,

Hi Mojitogirl,
I'm now doing some ski-touring in Aosta (italy) not far from Chamonix. Tomorrow, I'm heading to Chamonix and will be there until Sunday. No plans yet, but if you are around it would be good to do something togheter (pretty sure you already have a nice group of people to hang out with...
