Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Monterosa lift pass and Aosta Valley

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
The Monterosa lift pass gives two days in other Aosta Valley ski areas. Without a car which other areas are easiest to visit?

Is there any accessible via public transport?

We are staying in Gressoney.

Thanks

@NickyJ, I don't know for Gressoney, but from Champoluc I think you'd have to bus to Aosta and change there to bus somewhere else.

So it would be scenic if the weather was good but you'd be awfully familiar with the inside of VITA buses and I wouldn't bother taking ski kit.

Aosta's got some good restaurants...

Short answer, ... No.

I'm with @under a new name, it's a long old way down to the valley from Gressoney let alone up again to another resort and I can't see that it would be worth it.

Thanks both. It seems rather odd that it is offered but no linkage. Oh well. Snow / forecasts are looking good at the moment getting hopeful for nice conditions in April

@NickyJ, there are many, many linkups like that that require a car to easily achieve.

@NickyJ, Drop down to Aosta then take the 20min gondola from town up to Pila, we had a day there a few years ago, off season but it was empty and we had a really nice day with the slopes all to ourselves. Bit of a schlep with kids though.

@NickyJ, seriously?

It's 3 hours one way by bus to Aosta.

You really don't get how tricky the local public transport is!
