Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Good luck, hope you get it back! My mate lost his in a restaurant in Les Gets a few years back, ski'd the whole area just trying to find a gendarme to get a reference number, and then almost had to sell a kidney to get him to put it in writing...

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I am not sure is this will help, but my wife found a phone and camera on the piste in Alpe d'Huez. After searching the phone she found the phone number of the girls mother, phoned her and found where the girl was staying and returned the phone to her.

So someone may return your phone, somehow. I assume that you have phoned it and that all the data is protected behind a password.

I lost my glasses on the piste a few weeks ago. I had a fall the, ski came up, bounced and the tail of it ripped my jacket to sheds. I lost the pocket with my specs in them. It was the end of the day and the lift to the top shut. It snowed overnight. Now I am waiting to the summer to walk down the piste to recover them. If I can - it is very steep.

My husband lost his phone on the piste at Super Chatel. It was handed into the tourist office four days later, a piste basher had run over it and it had lost the no. 5 button but it still worked! We'd sent a text message to it to say the phone was lost and a number to call. Its an old Nokia with no pin. Bit different with a smart phone.....

No luck. Went to the last restaurant I remember having it. Also went to local police station. Quite a few phones there but not mine unfortunately.

I found a very smart iphone on a piste - last message on it was in English. I couldn't easily get to the village to hand it in (it's some distance away, they have short opening hours and I had visitors). But phoned details through to the office and confidently awaited a text or call. It never came. Phone was locked.

Thank you but mine was not locked. Think it's cheery bye now to the phone.

My nephew lost his expensive Galaxy thing on the piste. A little French girl found it and the family rang the last number called, which turned out to be his sister, who fortunately spoke enough French to arrange a rendezvous later at the patisserie to hand it over, with much entente cordiale all round. If his phone had been locked it wouldn't have been so easy.
