Poster: A snowHead

Who'd o' thought it would be in Japan?
I'm not normally one to be taking photos of my food but this was special!
Pork, mushrooms, nori and ramen noodles in a miso soup at the base of the resort all for five quid.

With the exchange rate as it is, and no inflation for years, it's pretty easy to eat cheaply in Japan.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Is this a better deal than the mythical €1.50 vin chaud outside the dog casino in alleghe?
Certainly a contender. Definitely needs more bread with it though.

Had a great burger for lunch in Lauterbrunnen today - CHF6.95 just a tad more than a fiver.

Is it allowed to have food in a ski resort that doesn't involve melted cheese?

It looks like a small square black shark is about to swim round the bowl and eat everything in it!

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

@HoneyBunny, it's probably just a piranha.
The dish looks a lot more appetising than the chicken bone snack I had once in Zao Onsen. Not just chicken bones, I admit, it had ligaments and cartilage too.
Japan would certainly make a different snowHeads bash!

@admin, Did you manage to tackle that with just those chopsticks? If so that is more impressive than the price
