Poster: A snowHead

A few years ago I picked up some Marker Barons for my new Line skis. I didn't particularly need touring bindings but they were at a very good price.
I'm v unlikely to do any touring and am finding them really heavy. Can I get the skis re-drilled to take some new lighter bindings?

@narbs, yes.
How much lighter are alternatives however?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@under a new name, an alpine binding not running high DINS would be markedly lighter.
@narbs, yes. De-mount, plug the holes, re-drill for new bindings adjusting boot centre as little as possible to achieve min 10mm between any old and new holes.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

A quick look suggests my Barons are a mere 200g heavier than my alpines.
Which is hardly world shattering.

@midgetbiker, thanks - I was looking at Marker Squires which are about 1.5kgs lighter than the Barons I currently have.

@under a new name, hopefully I can get a kilo or so off. They just feel really heavy.
