Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi there, does anybody know of anyone that's capable of making GoreTex alterations. I've a nice new and expensive jacket, best fit i could get but it still needs taking in in a few places. Would want it to be altered whilst having it still retain its waterproofing. Anybody know of anyone that could help?
Thanks

Don't they just need to tape the seams once the alterations have finished?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I don't know, is that all that needs to be done and what is this 'tape' specifically I wonder?

Nice, just spoken to them, they can do standard alterations no problem, apparently not fully equiped to do full on tailoring type work (ie pull a jacket apart and take in the whole body etc).

It's sometimes called Melco tape but I'm not sure if that's what Goretex insist their licence holders use. I'll let you google it.

Wife just got gtx trousers done at Lancashire sports repair.... Shortened, taken in and retaped.... Can't tell the new from the old. Very impressed.
