Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hey,
I'll be arriving to Val d'Isere on the 20/02/16 by car and be staying there for a week.
I understand that it's forbidden to park on the streets, and that the organized parking lots are not cheap.
Does anybody know of free or cheap parking arrangments?
thanks !

Try "Search".
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I did.
I found one that ended with one doing another a favor and let him park in his garage, and the other are a few years back when it was legal to park in the streets.
Thought if someone was there this season, he could help me out with recent info.

You could just pay to park in Val d'Isere for the first and last nights to make it easier to unload and load and park it in Tignes 1800 for the rest of the time.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

It is NOT really as clear cut as this and that. Essentially you will find public and free parking sporadically around resort.... there are also some car parks belong to buildings that are open but it generally a case of hunt around and see what you can find.... read lots of signs here and there to see where you can park and for how long!!!! However the main problem / opportunity you will have is WHEN during that day you arrive.... if you arrive say 9/10am then all the 'going' holidaymakers will have gone and the 'coming' people (in the most part) will not have arrived yet a while - normally start rolling in mid afternoon. So any spare spots will be snapped up early that day being a French school holiday week! Another option you could consider would be to park outside of town.... or just outside e.g. at the Villeret du Nial - somewhere like that (but I didn't suggest that as I have friends who live there - he he!). The official outdoor parking in La Daille is around £50 a week I believe which is not too bad I would suggest....
www.valdisereparking.com
is the website I think. Good luck!

Yeah, most of the central multistories seem to be €80-85 for a week
