Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Atomic Hawx 100 Power Strap

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
A somewhat specific question here... I've got a pair of 2013 Atomic Hawx 100. I was hoping to fit a Booster strap but coming unstuck with the best way to remove the stock power strap without permanently destroying it. It's attached via a big hunk of plastic and some metal rivets that don't seem to be unscrewable. Anyone have any ideas? Or will I simply have to bite the bullet and damage the old strap? (Picture of Hawx 120s below which have the same attachment)

there is no way of doing it without a permanent change

1 either grind out the back of the rivets form the inside or drill them out carefully from the outside
2 slide the booster into where the power strap was
3 punch holes in the booster where required (normally if you find the mid point of the booster it should line up with the mid point at the back of the boot, some people like it set up differently but for most this works well)
4 attach the booster by using screw in rivets to replace the press rivets that were there (you should be able to get these form the shop which supplied the booster)

the boot will look identical beside the fact there will be 2 screws where the current rivets are

hope that helps
