Happened to be in a meeting with a liftie from La Plagne last night and he was pretty shaken. Obviously these accidents have a huge impact on the family but it really upsets the people working on the pistes too. He said they never get used to such incidences no matter what the circumstances. Very sad news.

Death stalks us all like a deadly stalking thing. Had a bit of a close-ish one myself last week.

Talked to my daughter this afternoon, she's chalet hosting in Belle Plagne. One of her colleagues was walking past when it happened and apparently sat with the 2 sons for a while. She phoned my daughter for help and moral support, but she was skiing over in Les Arcs. They are all very shaken up.
The poor lady was my age and her sons the age of my children, they'd all been skiing for years according to the reports, just like us, and we were staying there 2 weeks ago. I imagine if that was me, and I can't begin to think how the sons and the rest of her family must be feeling.
