Poster: A snowHead

For those of us that like the freestyle side of mountain sports as proposed to getting down them as fast as possible, bt sports espn channel is showing live coverage. It actually started last night (might still be on now) but if you have the capability it may be worth pressing the series link button!
There are a few British competing and a few, if you belive their hype, are medal contenders.

Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

If you want to follow the Brits, Katie Ormerod will be riding in the Snowboard Slopestyle finals at 10.00 Colorado time, which is 17.00 GMT. Then at 12.30 local time, which is 19.30 GMT, Katie Summerhayes, who got awarded a second alternate place just yesterday, will compete in the Ski Slopestyle finals.
On Sunday, James Woods will ride in the Men’s Ski Slopestyle finals at 10.00 Colorado time, 17.00 GMT. Woodsy dislocated his jaw after coming up short on the knuckle in Mammoth last weekend, but will still be competing this weekend.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

It's insane that Katie Summerhays only got in after someone pulled out. X Games is a broken event, unfortunately

Don't get me wrong, the whole qualifying process and politics of the x games is laughable (it might as well be an invitational event) but the participants are amongst the best in the world and the features they build are usually pretty awesome.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@manicpb, I thought XG was still an invitational event.

@manicpb, yep - the summer X Games is even worse, with the biggest issue being that no one gives a monkey about it any more.

@Richard_Sideways, yes technically it is still an invitational but to get that invite you need to win certain events...to which they will let people pay to enter but then send along who they actually want to get the invite and as long as they don't totally balls up their run will get the nod from the suspect judges!
Or at least that's what I've heard
