Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Tips for Sauze d'Oulx

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hello, I am going to Sauze d'Oulx in a couple of weeks with my husband and kids, and another family. This will be the kids 6th week of skiing, so they are fine on reds and manage blacks. The other family's children have been for about 2 weeks so are not quite as proficient.

Please may I trawl the extensive knowledge of Snowheads for any recommended runs in Sauze? recommended restaurants that like kids?

I am hoping for a day in montgenevre (we are driving so will have the car) as well, so any comments on that would be welcome too!

Thank you

Red 29 is a fave of mine, nice and swoopy through the trees with lots of side bits (in said trees) that the kids ski in and out of.

Also the red runs off chairs 11 and 12.

If your kids have the legs for it take them up drag run 19 in Sestriere and ski the black, IIRC it was used as an olympic downhill run.

It looks like this from the top>

The restaurant with a bear outside is expensive, a much nicer and cheaper place is on the right hand side of red 2000. You can't really miss it as there is often a swing or small park outside it.

The hotel Monte Triplex at sportinia does some cracking pizzas but beware the lift queues out of that area around lunchtime, there is only one quad chair out and its quite slow.

Most village places welcome kids because italians are very welcoming.

Oh Montgenevre - Take the kids on the toboggan run after you've finished. Buy your ticket at the base station (mistake #1) and wear a nice warm hat (mistake #2) as its chilly up there in the evening.

thank you very much! - one of our main reasons for choosing Italy was the food, and those runs look very enticing.
now fingers crossed for snow eh?

Ciao Pais is a super restaurant to eat on the slopes in Sauze, but as you are in Italy the kids will be welcome in all places Very Happy
