Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Are, Sweden - what is the snow like during 16th-24th April?

Hi All,

I'm having a nightmare with calendars clashing and the earliest week that satisfies everyone in my group is 16/17 to 23/24 April. I noticed the ski season is longer in Sweden than France but please could you give me your unbiased opinions? What are the snow conditions likely to be during 16-24 April in Are, Sweden?

Many thanks,

Mnbv

Easter comes a bit earlier this year, but that is around Easter in other years and looking at the snow blog same time last year it looks good https://www.skistar.com/en/Are/About-Are/Snow-blogg/April-2015/14-april/

And 2014 https://www.skistar.com/en/Are/About-Are/Snow-blogg/2014/April-2014/16-april/

Depends what you want, but if you are worried about conditions you may want to consider skiing in Lapland - April is a good time as the days have started to lengthen out (sunset towards 9pm).

@mnbv, we have been there on those dates both with good snow and rain on the lower slopes. Wind screws Are more than anything. Generally Sweden has a good late season, but El Nino???

Are usually stays open until early May. But it's not big or steep.

Better to go to France or Switzerland. More terrain.

Tignes, Val Thorens or Zermatt are all open into early May.
