Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Can anyone confirm that they have travelled on these two airlines with an ABS bag in the hold- did you inform them prior to the flight?
I have a trip to Greenland planned and am travelling to Reykjavik with Easyjet and onwards to kulusuk on a prop plane with Air Iceland
cheers,

I emailed Easyjet when flying to Geneva and got a reply confirming that they allow them to be carried. No idea about Air Iceland as I've never ventured into that neck of the woods.

Definitely feeling jealous, I hope to ski on Svalbard or Greenland(or both) someday. Very Happy

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I've flown easyjet with my abs several times with little hassle. I get an email approval from them then I stick the bottle and trigger in the hold and use the abs bag as hand luggage. I put paperwork from abs website in my hold bag with the cylinder and another copy for check in when I tell them I've got a compressed gas cylinder in my hold bag. Usually they get me to put my bag through a separate security scanner. On occasion the reaction is entertaining but carry all the paperwork and it's cool for cats Cool

You can ring Air Iceland here:

I don't know anyone who has had a problem flying internally in Iceland with an airbag pack in the hold but its rather like taking a bus. Dunno if they have different rules for flying to Greenland.
