Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I'm considering buying some Xmax xt12 skis but I'm not sure I can find the right size. I'm 5,11 and 92kg and probably not that aggressive anymore but still like to go fast either GS or attempting short turns through the bumps. Which size should I go for an on piste ski for the firmer days? I wondered if 175 would be big enough?

sounds a bit short to me. I ski that kind of length for that kind of thing and I'm 5'9 and 75kg although fairly energetic.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

You are about my size and it is a similar ski type. Mine are 185s. Better at GS turns than bumps at that length though so 175 might be OK and more of a compromise ski. They have minmal rocker so ski a bit longer than rockered skis.

My other skis are 186 I think but they are double rockered. 175 are the biggest ones I can find on offer but I did think they may be a bit short, it depends on the way they ski. 175 might not be that bad an idea for bumps.
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

175 is the biggest they make apparently.
